  • How do you compare Six Sigma and Lean?

    From Improvement perspective, Six Sigma reduces variation and Lean reduces waste. Six Sigma aims at a process performance of 3.4 Defects per Million opportunity and Lean focuses on improving speed. Six Sigma has a flare to improve the cost of poor quality and Lean improves Operating costs.

  • Have you ever negotiated contracts with vendors?

    Yes in my role I am involved in such discussion.

  • What's the advice you would like to give to an aspiring operations-managers?

    Understand your team and help them to grow , give them their space. I am sure in return you will get their support always.

  • Describe a typical day at work for you?

    Well it's start with day plan operation numbers and ends with the results. in between its more on strategy , issues what next and review discussion.

  • What role did your educational background play in your career?

    Well not much I must say. But my passion towards number have helped to understand data.

  • What was your most challenging project and how did you pull through?

  • How do you ensure all work is being done efficiently and human error is minimised?

  • How was Operations different from what you studied in a B School?

    A typical operations will have many ground level people who are not equipped with management terms. Now the big question comes how do want to connect and explain them your management thought in their language. For me that's the difference.

  • What does a typical day for someone managing operations look like?

    1. Planning 2. People connect 3. Review 4.Meetings 5. Look for what next.

  • Is it always necessary to run a tight ship?

    Not at all.

  • What motivated you to choose this career?

    Well I understood I am a number guy with also aspire to break traditional things and create new bridges. Also I love to connect bwith different individuals so here I am in operation which gives all this opportunity.

  • How was your experience with your first job?

    I learnt how to talk write and manage people. in short it was an awesome experience.

  • What are the 3 things every successful operations-managers must-have?

    People connect. End to end knowledge. Vision or aspire for new.

  • How do you manage your own timings along with accounting for other people or processes?

    Well not always I am able do that. Their are time where I drag my self to do more hours to finish. But a great planing and time management plan helps.

  • What crucial insight have you gained from your work experience?

    People is key of success and technology drives you make peoples live easy. So be with your team and continue nto explore best technologies.
